Training week from January 26 to 29: a practical and comprehensive approach to educational management in residential camps

Residential camps are educational spaces where coexistence, learning, and collective experience play a central role. For each stay to function with coherence, safety, and pedagogical purpose, careful planning and daily management are essential. With this perspective, Edulonia’s Training in Coordination and Management of Residential Camps was created.
This training, organized by EFA School and hosted at Finca Tamarit, took place from Monday, January 26 to Thursday, January 29, 2026, and brought together professionals from the educational leisure sector with the aim of exploring the key aspects that make the proper functioning of a residential camp possible.
A week of training structured around areas and real-life experiences
Over the four days, the training was structured progressively, combining theoretical content with practical activities and shared reflection spaces.
The first days focused on understanding the overall operation of a residential camp, addressing the planning of stays, the organization of spaces and resources, and the daily logistics required to ensure a safe and well-coordinated experience. Special emphasis was also placed on the importance of anticipation and prior organization as key tools for preventing incidents.

As the week progressed, the training focused on human team management, working on pedagogical leadership, internal communication, team cohesion, and day-to-day support. Real situations experienced in residential camps were analyzed, allowing participants to share experiences and build collective learning.
The final days were dedicated to deepening the relationship with schools, planning activities according to the educational projects of each center, and adapting proposals to the needs of the groups. Strategies for managing complex situations, conflict resolution, and decision-making in real contexts were also addressed.
The entire training process was developed using an active and participatory methodology, based on practical cases, debates, group dynamics, and reflection spaces, with the aim of connecting the content to the everyday reality of residential camps.
Commitment to educational quality and professional development
Hosting this training at Finca Tamarit reinforces Edulonia’s commitment to continuous improvement and educational quality. Residential camps are not merely places to stay, but active educational environments that require trained professionals, aware of their impact and capable of offering meaningful experiences.
Investing in training means committing to more conscious management, better-supported stays, and a higher-quality educational experience for children and the educational centers that trust us.
